Kaitake fresh focuses on providing freshly pasteurised milk for you and your family to enjoy. Nothing added, nothing removed. Just fresh whole milk as nature intended.

A2 Milk

All of our cows have been individually A2 milk tested to ensure you receive 100% A2 milk.  Historically cows produced milk containing the A2 beta-casein, however as dairying in New Zealand evolved more and more animals containing the A1 beta-casein emerged. 

Now there are more A1 than A2 cows within New Zealand.

At Kaitake Fresh Creamery we aim to provide a product that is not only a great source of protein and calcium but one that is gentle on the stomach and easy to digest as a result of different amino acids being used to breakdown the beta-caseins in the milk. 

Not only is A2 milk meant to be easier on the stomach it has been said to have positive impacts on brain function, inflammation, Type 1 diabetes and heart disease, compared to that of A1 milk.

A2 Pasteurised Milk

Pasteurising milk kills all the bad bacteria and pathogens by going through a heating process before being chilled ready for delivery. 

Unlike other milks you buy instore, pasteurised milk has not been standardised or homogonised, therefore it is in its most natural form. 

This means there is still plenty of cream left in your milk and why your Kaitake Fresh milk requires the Kaitake shake after a night in the fridge.  This is milk and milk only. Just the way it should be.
